Just in time and the stock optimalization at the production company

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá teorií zásob, jejich funkcemi a významem pro podnik. V první části mé bakalářské práce jsem se soustředila na obecné poznatky. Zaměřila jsem se zejména na klasifikaci zásob, vysvětlení nákladů spojených s jejich existencí a základními systémy pro jejich efektivní řízení. Dále jsem ve své práci zpracovávala pojmy a metody jako je Just in Time, Kanban, Kaizen, Štíhlá výroba, aj. Dnešní praxe klade velký důraz na snižování zásob, proto v druhé, praktické části jsou tyto obecné poznatky, získané studiem literatury, aplikovány na konkrétní výrobní společnost. Zvláště jsem se soustředila na propočty pojistných zásob, výhodnost množstevních slev, určení optimálního objednacího množství a další eliminace nákladů spojených s managementem zásob včetně nákladů na dopravu. V závěru práce je hodnoceno, že navrhovaná opatření by bylo vhodné zavézt i do praxe, neboť výpočty byl prokázán jejich ekonomický přínos v podobě ušetřených finančních prostředků. Dále je v práci uvedeno jaké další procesní změny by přispěly ke zkrácení výrobních časů, eventuelně návrhy pro řešení dodavatelsko – zákaznických vazeb.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the teory of reserves, their functions and their significance for a company. The first part of the paper is focused on the general knowledge, namely on the reserves classification, the explanation of the costs connected with the reserves and on the basic systems for their effective management. Furthermore, the paper includes terms and methods such as Just in Time, Kanban, Kaizen, Lean Production etc. Current practice lays stress on reducing the reserves hence in the second, practical, part the above mentioned knowledge, gained by extensive research, is applied on a particular production company. I particularly focused on the safety stock calculations, the profitability of quantity discounts, establishing of the optimal order quantity and further elimination of those costs connected with the stock management including the transport costs. The conclusion of the paper states that it would be advisable to introduce the recommended measures into the pracice, for the calculations have proved the economic benefit in the means of saved financial resources. Further, the paper suggests other procedural changes that would contribute to shortening the operation time, perhaps even suggestion for solving the supplier-customer relations.
