Financial decision-making of Czech households in 2016-2022: an international comparison

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Finanční rozhodování českých domácností v letech 2016 – 2022: mezinárodní komparace“ se zabývá investičním rozhodováním domácností. Správné finanční rozhodování domácností nabírá podle níže popsaných studií stále větší důležitosti. Cílem práce je tedy seznámit čtenáře s investičními principy a možnostmi, stejně tak jako s aspekty hrajícími roli při investování do aktiv. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na hospodaření domácností a jejich finanční situaci, popřípadě složení investičního portfolia. Stěžejní metody získávání dat vychází ze zkoumání již existujících dat a statistik, tedy dat sekundárních. Práce potvrzuje nižší finanční gramotnost obyvatel ČR v porovnání s Němci, jak je definováno v jedné z otázek, které práce zkoumá. Cílem práce je seznámit čtenáře se základními principy investování a nakládání s rodinným majetkem, stejně tak jako o jeho důležitosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis "Financial decision-making of Czech households in 2016-2022: an international comparison" deals with the investment decision of households. According to the studies described below, proper financial decision-making by households is becoming increasingly more important. The aim of the thesis is therefore to introduce readers to investment principles and options, as well as to the aspects that play a role in investing in assets. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the households' economic and financial situation and, alternatively the composition of their investment portfolio. The main methods of data acquisition are based on the examination of existing data and statistics, i.e. secondary data. The thesis confirms the lower financial literacy of the Czech population compared to the Germans, as defined in one of the questions that the thesis examines. The aim of the thesis is to inform the reader about the basic principles of investing and handling family assets, as well as about their importance.
