The effect of foliar application of different types of sulfur on the health and production of pea plants

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá mimokořenovou aplikací vybraných forem síry na porost hrachu setého (pisum sativum) v rámci maloparcelního, jednoletého pokusu na školním pozemku Žabčice. Cílem bylo posoudit její vliv na tyto parametry: zdravotní stav rostlin, výnos, HTS, obsah dusíkatých látek v zrnu, obsah síry v zrnu a ekonomické vyhodnocení. Byly aplikovány tři druhy síry. Elementární síra (FOLIT Síra), thiosíranová síra (FOLIT ThioSulf) a polysulfidická síra (Sulka K). Pokus byl prováděn na odrůdách Audit, AGT 2018.33 a AGT 2018.38. Na zdravotní stav měla největší účinnost polysulfidická síra, a to na Plíseň hrachu (Peronospora pisi) a na Padlí hrachu (Erysiphe pisi), a dále elementární síra na Strupovitost hrachu (Ascochyta pisi). Na výnos měla pozitivní vliv u odrůdy Audit thiosíranová a polysulfidická forma síry. Výnos se zvýšil u thiosíranové síry o 0,81 kg/ha a u polysulfidické síry o 0,56 kg/ha. Zvýšení HTS bylo pozorováno jen u odrůdy Audit po hnojení Thiosíranovou sírou. Zvýšení oproti nehnojené variantě bylo o 8,64 g. Obsah dusíkatých látek v zrnu se oproti nehnojené variantě nezměnil ani u jedné odrůdy. Obsah síry v zrnu se zvýšil pouze u odrůdy AGT 2018.33, a to u varianty hnojené polysulfidickou sírou. Ekonomické vyhodnocení ukázalo finanční návratnost při použití hnojiv FOLIT ThioSulf a Sulka K.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the foliar application of different types of sulfur on the pea plants (pisum sativum) in a small-plot one – year experiment on the school plot in Žabčice. The aim was to assess its influence on the following parameters: health of plants, yield, weight of a thousand seeds, nitrogen content in grain, sulfur content in grain and economic evaluation.There were three types of sulfur applied. Elemental sulfur (FOLIT Síra), thiosulphate sulfur (FOLIT ThioSulf) and polysulfide sulfur (Sulka K). The experiment was performed on the varietes Audit, AGT 2018.33 and AGT 2018.38. Polysulfide sulfur had the greatest effect on health, namely Pea mold (Peronospora pisi) and Pea powdery mildew (Erysiphe pisi). Also elemental sulfur affected Pea blight (Ascochyta pisi). The thiosulphate and polysulphide types of sulfur had a positive effect on the yield of Audit. The yield increased for thiosulphate sulfur by 0,81 kg/ha and polysulphide sulfur by 0,51 kg/ha. An increase of the weight of a thousand seeds was observe only in the Audit variety after fertilization with thiosulfate sulfur. The increase compared to the unfertilized variant was 8,64 g. The content of nitrogenous substances in the grain did not change in any variety compared to the unfertilized variant. The sulfur content in the grain increased only in the varietes AGT 2018.33 up to the variants fertilizes with polysulfide sulfur.Economic evaluation had a positive rentability when fertilizers FOLIT ThioSulf and Sulka K were used.
