Analysis of Business Intelligence application System Controlling in Manpower

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vyhodnocením systémů Business Intelligence všeobecně. V úvodní části jsou definované možnosti spolupráce se společností GIST. Další část je vyhodnocením Business Intelligence aplikace od společnosti GIST ze strany zákazníka, tedy společnosti Manpower. Cílem práce je analyzovat systém Business Intelligence implementovaný u zákazníka Manpower dle předem definovaného postupu dimenzionálního modelování. Dále navrhnout hrubý dimenzionální model datového skladu aplikace BI ve společnosti Manpower. Podle zjištěných nedostatků následně navrhnout změny, které by mohly zákazníkovi sloužit k případné komunikaci s dodavatelem. V práci představím aplikaci Business Intelligence od společnosti GIST pod názvem Systém GIST Controlling. V jednotlivých fázích bude definován postup dimenzionálního modelování. Dle postupu následně popíšu přípravu řešení dimenzionálního modelu ve společnosti Manpower. V praktické části specifikuji dle postupu úvodní požadavky. Podle postupu popíšu dimenze a ukazatele, které jsou součásti Business Intelligence aplikace ve společnosti Manpower. Následně budou navržena databázová schémata, která tvoří datový sklad. Na základě komunikace se zákazníkem, koncovými uživateli ve společnosti Manpower, ukážu výhody a nedostatky tohoto řešení. Vlastním řešením práce je popis stávajícího Business Intelligence řešení ve společnosti Manpower dle předem stanoveného postupu a následné návrhy k optimalizaci řešení na základě odhalených nedostatků definovaných koncovými uživateli, tedy pracovníky Manpoweru.

Abstract:

The project is generally about the evaluation of Business Intelligence. In the first part are defined possibilities of cooperation with the company GIST. The second part is the evaluation of Business Intelligence application from the company on customers side that is, Manpower. The objective of the project is analyze the system Business Intelligence which is implemented in Manpower's customer according to specified process of dimensional model. The next step is to suggest dimensional model of data warehouse application of Business Intelligence in Manpower. From the errors which were found, consequently will be suggested the changes which will service the customer for communication with provider. In the project will introduced application Business Intelligence from company GIST under the name, System GIST Controlling, in each faze will be defined ways of dimensional models, according this ways, the preparation of solutions of this dimensional models in Manpower. In practical part of the project, will be specified the ways that were described in the first part, according this ways I will describe dimension of indicators which is the part of Business Intelligence application in Manpower. Consequently will be created a data base scheme which is making data warehouse. Following on communication with customer who is end user in Manpower will be qualify of the advantages and disadvantages of this solution. The own project solution is description of current BI application in Manpower from predefined plan and suggestions for the optimization of solution on the bases of detected errors that were defined by the end users of Manpower.
