Use of micro-injection technology in the defense of Fraxinus excelsior against the pathogenic fungus Hymenoscyphus fraxineus

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi využití metody stromové mikro-injektáže v obraně jasanů před patogenní houbou Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. Vlastní praktická část výzkumu je zaměřená na mikro-injektáže 30 dřevin Fraxinus excelsior na zkusné ploše čtyřmi různě fungicidně působícími přípravky a následné provedení umělých inokulací na stejných jedincích houbou H. fraxineus. V průběhu 9 měsíců byl sledován a vyhodnocován vývoj podkorních nekróz. Ze získaných dat bylo zjištěno, že obrana dřevin metodou stromové injektáže významně omezuje růst podkorních nekróz, přičemž jako nejúčinnější se jeví přípravek Previcur. Mezi jednotlivými kmeny patogenní houby H. fraxineus byly pozorovány jen malé rozdíly v agresivitě.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the possibilities of using the tree micro-injection method in the defense of ash trees against the pathogenic fungus Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. The practical part of the research is focused on micro-injections of 30 Fraxinus excelsior trees on the experimental area with four different fungicidal preparations and subsequent performance of artificial inoculations on the same individuals with the fungus H. fraxineus. The development of underbark necrosis was monitored and evaluated during 9 months. From the obtained data it was found that the protection of trees by the tree-injection technology significantly reduces the growth of underbark necrosis, while Previcur seems to be the most effective. Only small differences in aggressiveness were observed between strains of the pathogenic fungus H. fraxineus.
