Crowdfunding as an instrument of fundraising

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce “Crowdfunding jako nástroj fundraisingu” je rozbor crowdfundingových typů využívaných neziskovým sektorem pro financování svých kampaní a projektů. Práce si klade za cíl především nastínit procesy a nákladové náležitosti, které vyplývají z různých typů crowdfundingu, a tím i osvětlit crowdfundingové možnosti pro nestátní neziskové organizace v České republice. Teoretická část práce se věnuje dosavadním znalostem o neziskovém sektoru, fundraisingu a crowdfundingu. V praktické části pak práce, za pomoci literární rešerše a vlastního výzkumu uskutečněného na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s nestátními neziskovými organizacemi, určuje rozdíly mezi využívanými typy crowdfundingu, výhody a nevýhody plynoucí z daných typů a faktory ovlivňující výběr typu crowdfundingu. Závěr práce se pak věnuje zhodnocení procesní náročnosti plynoucí pro nestátní neziskové organizace z výběru typu crowdfundingu a shrnutí všech dalších získaných poznatků.

Abstract:

The purpose/goal of the thesis “Crowdfunding as an Instrument of Fundraising” is to analyse crowdfunding types used by the non-profit sector for financing their campaigns and projects. The aim of the thesis is to outline the processes and essentials that arise from different types of crowdfunding and thus to shed light on crowdfunding opportunities for non-governmental organisations in Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis is devot-ed to current knowledge of the non-profit sector, the terms fundraising and crowdfunding. The practical part, through using literature research and ac-tual research carried out on the basis of a semi-structured interviews with non-governmental organizations, will determine the differences between the various forms of crowdfunding used by non-governmental organizations, the advantages and disadvantages of the each and the factors influencing the choice of crowdfunding. The conclusion of the work is then devoted to the evaluation of the resulting procedural intensity for non-governmental organizations based on the selected crowdfunding form and a summary of all other acquired knowledge.
