Market-town Domašov nad Bystřicí and Local Farmers within the Range of the Years 1590 to 1695

Abstract:

Úkolem této práce je v co nejširší míře zdokumentovat a shrnout hospodářské poměry na usedlostech a zároveň zrekonstruovat převody jednotlivých držitelů těchto usedlostí v městečku Domašově nad Bystřicí (něm. Domstadtl) ležícím asi 11 kilometrů východně od města Šternberka a náležejícího rovněž k panství šternberskému. Jako časové období pro tento úkol bylo vybráno sedmnácté století a to hned z několika důvodů. Nejdůležitějším je fakt, že z této doby máme zachován poměrně velice bohatý písemný materiál ve formě nejstaršího moravského katastru, poměrně rozsáhlého souboru urbářů, soupisů pro komínovou daň, přiznávacího listu k první lánové vizitaci (tzv. Bekanntnis Brief), dvou vrchnostenských seznamů poddaných z let 1694 a 1695 a gruntovních knih, z nichž jedna rozsahem svých zápisů zabírá úctyhodnou šíři let 1598-1717, což je právě v Domašově chronologicky nejrozsáhlejší gruntovní kniha z celého panství. Zároveň je 17. století obdobím, kdy se na našem území začala poprvé systematicky provádět evidence hospodářských poměrů, majetku a obyvatel. V neposlední řadě nejde opomenout asi ekonomicky nejničivější konflikt v novodobých dějinách v českých zemích – třicetiletou válku – která velice významně ovlivnila hospodářský obraz země, ať už přímo nebo zprostředkovaně.

Abstract:

This Thesis' main goal is to sum up and to document economical conditions on the farms in Domašov nad Bystřicí (German: Domstadtl, approximately 7 miles eastwards from Šternberk, which was as well attached to the Sternberg Shire) as well as to reconstruct the transfers of that property. I have chosen 17th Century as the research period based on several reasons. The most important one is the fact, that we have quite rich access to the documents of the oldest land register in Moravia, quite extensive tax registry, chimney tax registry, documentation from the land register creation (the so-called Bekanntnis Brief), two lists of the subjects to local aristocracy from 1694 and 1695, as well as from the real estate registries. One of those registries covers the period from 1598 to 1717, that makes of it the biggest real estate registry in whole Domašov Shire. Meanwhile the 17th Century is a period when there has started historically the first evidence of economical relations, property and population ever. Last, but not least we cannot ignore the economically most destructive conflict in the Czech modern history - the Thirty Years' War - which very significantly shaped the economical image of the country - regardless whether directly or indirectly.
