Django Reinhardt - Pioneer of Solo Guitar Playing in Jazz
Abstract:
Django Reinhardt(1910 - 1953) byl francouzský jazzový kytarista. Spolu se Stéphanem Grappellim založil hudební skupinu Quintet of the Hot Club of France. Spolupracoval s předními americkými jazzmany jako Duke Ellington, Coleman Hawkins nebo Benny Carter. Svou hrou ovlivnil mnoho nejen jazzových kytaristů.
Abstract:
Django Reinhardt (1910 - 1953) was great french jazz guitarist. He founded a music group Quintet of the Hot Club of France with violinist Stéphane Grappelli. He played with many great american jazzmens as are Duke Ellington, Coleman Hawkins, Benny Carter. He influenced many guitarists, not only in jazz music.
