The Membership in Children Choir as a Factor of Socialisation

Abstract:

Disertační práce se zabývá dětským sborovým zpěvem z hlediska jeho přínosu pro osobnost jedince a jeho začlenění do společnosti. Teoretická část vymezuje postavení této zájmové aktivity v historii a dnes, syntetizuje poznatky o ontogenetickém období pubescence včetně hudebního a hlasového vývoje, uvádí vliv zpívání na lidské zdraví v nejširším slova smyslu a charakterizuje sbor jako sociální skupinu. Empirická část obsahuje výzkumné šetření založené na kvantitativním metodologickém přístupu. V šesti zájmových dětských sborech byla získána data týkající se sebehodnocení, sociálněpsychologického klimatu a subjektivního postoje ke sborovému zpívání, která byla zpracována pomocí frekvenční analýzy, deskriptivní analýzy a statistického testování hypotéz. Výsledky poukázaly na kladný efekt sborového zpěvu na sebehodnocení dítěte, odhalily specifické charakteristiky sboru jako sociální skupiny a vliv této volnočasové aktivity na začlenění jedince do společnosti.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis deals with the theme of a children?s choir from the point of view of its merit for the individual and their socialization. The theoretical part defines the position of this leisure time activity within the past and present, synthesizes the knowledge on ontogenetic period of adolescence, including the musical and vocal development, states the influence of singing on the human health in the widest scope of meaning and characterizes choir as a social group. The empiric part of the thesis contains the survey based on the quantitative methodological approach. The data concerning the self-evaluation, social-psychological climate and the subjective approach to the choir singing were acquisitioned at the six children?s choirs. The data was processed via frequency analysis, descriptive analysis and statistical testing of the hypotheses. The results showed the positive effect of the choir singing to children?s selfevaluation, unveiled the specific characteristics of choir as a social group and the influence of this leisure time activity on the individual?s socialization.
