Symbolical practices of czechoslovac dissisents in the period of the normalization.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá symbolickým a hodnotovým systémem československého disentu. Cílem práce je nabídnout alternativní náhled na disent ze společenskovědní perspektivy. Teoretická část představuje kromě teorie a metodologie i historický a společenský úvod do zkoumané problematiky. V analytické části jsou po provedení obsahové analýzy aplikovány teorie a koncepty Sherry Ortner pro sumarizaci klíčových symbolů disentu, Mary Douglas pro konceptualizaci vztahu disentu k majoritní společnosti, Pierra Bourdieu pro rekonstrukci symbolického i praktického vlivu jednotlivých disidentů. Disidenti jsou zde oproštěni od výhradního důrazu na morálně-osobnostní kvality. Pozornost je zaměřena na společenské determinanty, ovlivňující jejich status, jednání i identitu.

Abstract:

This work deals with symbolic value system of the Czechoslovak dissent in the period of normalization. The aim is to offer an alternative interpretation of dissent from social sciences perspective. The theoretical part is in addition to theory and methodology of historical and social introduction to the issues examined. In the analytical part, there are applied Sherry Ortner´s concept to summarization of dissidents´key symbols, Mary Douglas´theory to conceptualization of dissidents´relationship to the majority society, Pierre Bourdieu´s theory to reconstruction of dissidents´symbolic and practical influence. dissidents are freed from exclusive emphasis on personal moral quality. the attention is focused on the social determinants of dissidents´status, actions and identity.
