Abstract:

Tento text si klade za úkol propojit sociologický koncept sociální exkluze s žánrem sci-fi. Sociální exkluze je tématem, který se v sociálních vědách a také v politice často objevuje od devadesátých let minulého století až po současnost. Čím dál tím více diferencovaná společnost je ohrožena dezintegrací, kterou tento proces přináší. Může být ohrožena sociální koheze společnosti a také její demokratické principy. Vzniká nám tady jakási společnost ve společnosti, která do té nadřazené sice na první pohled patří, ale její členové mohou být do značné míry od majority odlišní. Sci-fi literatura a film je žánrem, který je sociálními vědami většinou opomíjen. Ovšem právě ona umělecká svoboda, poskytnutá světy budoucnosti, alternativní současnosti, minulosti, nebo světy zcela fiktivními, poskytuje prostor k vyjádření společenských problémů až ve formě weberovských ideálních typů. Na základě strukturální analýzy sci-fi filmu Zardoz je reflektován koncept sociální exkluze přítomný v tomto snímku. V obecnější rovině je pak demonstrován možný přínos fantastiky jako celku pro sociálně-vědní obor.

Abstract:

The main purpose of this text is connection between concepts of social exclusion and sci-fi genre. Social exclusion is a topic, which is often reflected in social sciences and politics from the end of the last century till today. More and more divided society is endagered by dezintegration, which this process produces. The social cohesion and democratic principles of the western society are threatened by dezintegration. We can talk about society in society, which is forming in our world. It appears to be part of the master one, but their memebers are different from the majority. Sci-fi literature and movies is a genre, which is often leaved out of social sciences. But it is freedom of creativity offered by the future worlds, alternative present, past, or worlds completely fictive, which gives us space for presenting social problems in the form of almost Weber's ideal types. Based on structural analysis of sci-fi movie Zardoz, concept of social exclusion present in this movie is reflected. On general level is demonstrated contribution of sf&f to the social sciences.
