Experience of a parent as the graduate of Effective Parenthood Course with a change in the educational style

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářská práce je nabídnout vhled do zkušenosti matky, absolventky Kurzu efektivního rodičovství, se změnami ve výchovném stylu. Práce se zaměřuje na skutečnosti, které tyto změny ovlivňují. Sleduje, jak se u informantky vyvíjel přístup k výchově dětí a její motivy ke změně výchovného stylu. Teoretická část je zaměřena na výchovu v rodině. Popisuje tři reprezentativní výchovné styly a Kurz efektivního rodičovství, který učí demokratickému výchovnému stylu a vychází z individuální psychologie Alfréda Adlera a jeho následovníka Rudolfa Dreikurse. Empirická část popisuje kvalitativní výzkum provedený metodou IPA (interpretativní fenomenologická analýza).

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to offer insight into the experience of mother, a graduate of the Course of Effective Parenthood with changes in the educational style. The work focuses on the facts that influenced these changes. It monitors not only how the informant´s approach to child raising developed but also her motives for changing the educational style. The theoretical part is focused on family education. It describes three representative educational styles and the Effective Parenthood Course. The course teaches a democratic educational lifestyle and is based on the individual psychology of Alfred Adler and his follower Rudolf Dreikurs. The empirical part describes the qualitative research performed by IPA method (interpretative phenomenological analysis).
