Inclusive education of pupils with physical disabilities in mainstream schools

Abstract:

Disertační práce a výzkumné projekty se zabývají zjišťováním a analýzou efektivity využívání podpůrných opatření u žáků s tělesným postižením v inkluzivním prostředí základních škol v kraji Vysočina a Jihomoravském kraji a analýzou současného stavu podpůrných opatření u žáků s tělesným postižením ve školách hlavního vzdělávacího proudu v Jihomoravském kraji a kraji Vysočina. Teoretická část disertační práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola definuje termín inkluze a inkluzivní vzdělávání. Zde je nastíněna aktuální vzdělávací politika v České republice a také v zahraničí. Kapitola obsahuje Mezinárodní klasifikaci funkčních schopností, disability a zdraví pro děti a mládež. Závěr kapitoly je věnován metodologii vztahující se k disertační práci a výzkumným šetřením. Druhá kapitola se věnuje žákům s tělesným postižením v inkluzivním prostředí základní školy. Nejprve je uveden vývoj postojů k lidem s tělesným postižením. Následující podkapitola se zabývá charakteristikou jedinců s tělesným postižením. Zde jsou uvedena specifika ve vzdělávání žáků s tělesným postižením. Závěr kapitoly se věnuje podpoře a spolupráci se zákonnými zástupci při edukaci žáka s tělesným postižením. Poslední teoretická kapitola se věnuje participaci na vzdělávání a podpoře vývoje žáků s tělesným postižením v inkluzivní škole. Na úvod je charakterizována problematika podpůrných opatření v edukačním procesu. Následující subkapitola obsahuje popis asistenta pedagoga v inkluzivní škole. Část této kapitoly zahrnuje také speciálně pedagogické centrum pro žáky s tělesným postižením. Závěr kapitoly je zaměřen na školní poradenské pracoviště v inkluzivním prostředí. Empirická část disertační práce zahrnuje dva výzkumné projekty. Čtvrtá kapitola představuje kvantitativní výzkum s využitím techniky dotazníku vlastní konstrukce, jenž byl adresován pedagogům základních škol hlavního vzdělávacího proudu, kteří vzdělávají žáky s tělesným postižením v kraji Vysočina a Jihomoravském kraji. Výsledná data z výzkumu byly uvedeny do tabulek a grafů. Data byla zpracována statistickou metodou pomocí bivariační analýzy. Následující kapitola uvádí závěry prvního výzkumu a doporučení pro speciálně pedagogickou teorii a praxi. Šestá kapitola prezentuje kvalitativní výzkum s využitím techniky polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 12 informantů (pedagogů základních škol hlavního vzdělávacího proudu) z Jihomoravského kraje a kraje Vysočina. Získaná data byla podrobena analýze pomocí techniky otevřeného kódování do analytických jednotek. Jednotlivé oblasti byly kategorizovány s využitím axiálního kódování. Vzájemné vztahy stanovených kódů byly identifikovány a následně zobrazeny graficky v kauzálních sítích, tedy selektivním kódováním. Poslední kapitola prezentuje závěry z druhého výzkumného projektu a následnou diskuzi, z níž vychází doporučení pro speciálně pedagogickou teorii a praxi.

Abstract:

The Dissertation thesis and research projects deal with the identification and analysis of the effectiveness of the use of supportive measures for pupils with physical disabilities in the inclusive environment of primary schools in the Vysočina Region and the South Moravian Region and the analysis of the current state of supportive measures for pupils with physical disabilities in mainstream schools in the South Moravian Region the Vysočina region. The theoretical part of the dissertation thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter defines the term inclusion and inclusive education. Here is outlined the current educational policy in the Czech Republic and also abroad. The chapter contains the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health for Children and Youth. The conclusion of the chapter is devoted to methodology related to dissertation thesis and research projects. The second chapter deals with pupils with physical disabilities in the inclusive environment of primary school. Firstly, the development of attitudes towards people with physical disabilities is outlined. The following subchapter deals with the characteristic of individuals with physical disabilities. Here are the specifics in the education of pupils with physical disabilities. The conclusion of the chapter is devoted to support and cooperation with legal representatives in the education of pupil with physical disability. The last theoretical chapter is devoted to participation in education and the support of the development of pupils with physical disabilities in an inclusive school. At the beginning the problem of support measures in the educational process is characterized. The following subchapter contains a description of the teaching assistant in an inclusive school. Part of this chapter also includes a special education center for pupils with physical disabilities. The conclusion of the chapter is focused on the school counseling center in an inclusive environment. The empirical part of the dissertation thesis includes two research projects. The fourth chapter presents quantitative research using the technique of a questionnaire by own design, which was addressed to teachers of mainstream schools who educate pupils with physical disabilities in the Vysočina Region and the South Moravian Region. The resulting data from the research was presented in tables and graphs. The data was processed by statistical method using bivariate analysis. The following chapter provides the conclusions of the first research and recommendations for special educational theory and practice. The sixth chapter presents qualitative research using the technique of the semi-structured interview. The research file consisted of 12 informants (teachers of mainstream primary schools) from the South Moravian Region and the Vysočina Region. The obtained data were analyzed by an open coding technique in analytical units. Individual areas were categorized using of axial coding. Mutual relationships of established codes were identified and subsequently displayed graphically in causal networks, i.e. selective coding. The last chapter presents the conclusions of the second research project and the subsequent discussion, which draws recommendations for special educational theory and practice.
