Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce Monopol a monopolní síla je rozbor, do jaké míry jsou v realitě s monopolem spojeny negativní důsledky chování monopolu, tak jak je popisuje ekonomická teorie a opodstatněnost protimonopolního zákonodárství. Tomu je uzpůsobena struktura práce. V první části je představena protimonopolní zákonodárství v systému Common Law a jeho zaměření, druhá část je zaměřena na srovnání tržních struktur a porovnání dvou teoretických konceptů vymezení stupně monopolu. Ve třetí části jsou pak uvedeny výsledky měření negativních důsledků spojených s monopolem a v poslední části pak posouzení možností a adekvátnosti protimonopolního zákonodárství.

Abstract:

The aim of thesis “Monopoly and Monopoly Power“ is an attempt to assess to which extent is the monopoly in reality linked with the adverse subsequences of monopoly behaviour in accordance with economic theory and wheather application of antitrust law is reasonable. This destines structure of the thesis. In the first part the antitrust legislation in Common Law and its goals is introduced. The second part is aimed to compare market structures and at the end of the part pair teoretical concepts of measuring of monopoly are shown and compared. In the third part the empirical measurement of adverse subsequences of monopoly are illustrated and in the last part potential and reasonability of antitrust law is illustrated.
