Diplomová práca sa zaoberá komparáciou členských krajín Európskej únie hlavne z ekonomického a sociálneho hľadiska. Autor v teoretickej časti charakterizuje Európsku úniu, jej vznik a vývoj až po súčasnosť. Zároveň opisuje pôvod, vznik a priebeh dlhovej krízy.
