The thesis focuses on the work Kiss of the spider woman from the Argentinian writer Manuel Puig which documents political and social situation in Argentina during the 70's and the 80's of the 20th century. Práce se soustředí na dílo Polibek pavoučí ženy argentinského spisovatele Manuela Puiga, které nám zprostředkovává politickou a sociální situaci v Argentině v době 70. a 80. let 20. století. Práce shrnuje také historii dané doby a zmiňuje vliv vojenské diktatury na literární tvorbu místních autorů.
