Impact of gravel mining in open pits to buldings stability

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje vlivu těžby štěrkopísků na stabilitu staveb v blízkosti těžebního prostoru. Cílem práce je na základě archivních dat a vlastních výpočtů v softwaru GEO 5.0. posoudit stabilitu svahu a její následný vliv na stabilitu konstrukcí. Na základě výpočtů bylo zjištěno, že stabilita svahu je dostatečná a ke svahovým pohybům nedojde. V případě všech analyzovaných profilů dosahuje stupeň stability na kritických smykových plochách ve všech modelových variantách vyššího stupně než je 2,13. V důsledku podnebných výkyvů dochází ke změně HPV, které však nemají zásadní vliv na zemní tlaky a neovlivňují tudíž stabilitu a hloubku založení konstrukce. Přesto může zvýšená HPV konstrukci budovy narušit, a proto je vhodné se řídit bezpečnostním opatřením. Návrh nápravných opatření a výsledky výpočtů jsou uvedeny v práci.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the influence of the gravel extraction on the stability of the buildings which are nearby to the mining area. The aim of this thesis is, on the base of an archive data and independent calculation in the GEO 5.0 software, to judge the stability of the rise and its follow-up influence on the stability of constructions. It has been determined, on the base of the calculations, that the rise stability is sufficient and that there are not going to be any rise shifts. In the case of all analysed profiles, the degree of the stability in the critical shear areas in all model variants is higher than 2, 13. Because of the climate swings, the groundwater level is changing, but it has no important influence on the earth pressures and therefore it does not influence the stability and depth of the construction foundation. Despite that, the increased groundwater level can disrupt the stability of the building construction, so it is advisable to follow the security. The proposed corrective measures and calculation results are listed in the thesis.
