Problematics in singing interpretation of Tibor Frešo´s song cycle called Dew cap for soprano and piano

Abstract:

The Bachelor´s thesis is focused on problematics of singing interpretation of the song cycle Dew cap for soprano and piano to the words by Pavel Koyš, created by Tibor Frešo, the Slovak composer of the 20th century. The thesis consists of four chapters. The first two briefly describe a historical background of the Frešo´s work, the composer´s life and his work in general. The core of the thesis is in the third and the fourth chapter. It deals with origin and characteristics of the cycle, with problematics of singing interpretation and with musical and interpretative analysis of the particular songs with pointing out to the artistic interpretation of singer Jarmila Smyčková.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca je zameraná na problematiku speváckej interpretácie piesňového cyklu Rosa pre soprán a klavír na slová Pavla Koyša, zhudobnený slovenským skladateľom 20. storočia - Tiborom Frešom. Práca obsahuje štyri kapitoly. V prvých dvoch sa čitateľ v stručnosti oboznámi s historickou situáciou obdobia tvorby skladateľa, s jeho životom a dielom. Jadro práce sa nachádza v tretej a vo štvrtej kapitole. Zaoberajú sa vznikom a charakteristikou piesňového cyklu a vedú až k problematike speváckej interpretácie a hudobno-interpetačnej analýzy jednotlivých piesní s poukázaním na hudobné naštudovanie speváckej osobnosti Jarmily Smyčkovej.
