This bachelor thesis deals with risks in international freight transport and will analyse ways of eliminating them in business practice. This topic is relevant more than ever and represents a significant contribution to the global business environment as transporting goods and providing services in an efficient and a timely way has become an increasingly important aspect in today’s global business practice. This thesis provides a theoretical background on risk, approaches of risk analysis and general types of risk management strategies. It then studies risks in international freight transport regardless of the mode of transport and identifies the types of losses that may stem from them. The thesis then conducts a profound study of risk and risk management strategies of one of the leading transport and logistics companies in the Czech Republic and based on that formulates for practical usage a general framework that can serve as a checklist for the risk analysis of transport companies.
