Admirál Horatio lord Nelson zvítzil roku 1805 v bitv u Trafalgaru nad Napoleonovým námonictvem. Zajistil tak Velké Británii jedno z nejslavnjších vítzství v celé historii. Zárove se velmi upevnilo její postavení v Evrop. V roce 2005 ubhlo 200 let od této slavné události. Jak se zmnil pohled Brit na jejich hrdinu? Jak jej chápali tehdy a jak nyní? In 1805 admiral Horatio Lord Nelson won the battle of Trafalgar. He defeated Napoleons navy. It was one of the most famous triumphs in the British history. At the same time the British position in Europe became stronger. In 2005 British celebrated the 200th anniversary of this well-known event.
