Tobacco addiction of children and adolescents brought up in the institutional educational centres and of children and adolescents living and brought up in a standard family environment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Závislost na tabáku u dětí a mladistvých z institucionální výchovy a u dětí a mladistvých žijících v běžných rodinách“ obsahuje tři kapitoly. První a druhá kapitola se věnuje teorii, kde zmiňujeme informace o výchově a vysvětlujeme rozdíly mezi ústavní a ochrannou výchovou. Práce popisuje jednotlivá školská zařízení pro výkon ústavní nebo ochranné výchovy a více pojednáváme o jednom z nich. Dále se zaměřujeme na rizikové faktory pro vznik závislosti na tabáku a předkládáme historii tabáku. Důsledky závislosti na tabáku a typologie lidí závislých na něm jsou dalším bodem teoretické části. Poslední část teorie je věnovaná léčbě a prevenci tabakismu.Třetí kapitola představuje výzkumné šetření, které proběhlo formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s dětmi a mladistvými v Dětském domově Dagmar a s dětmi a mladistvými žijících v rodině. U informantů z daného výzkumného vzorku jsme zjišťovali, zdali podléhají závislosti na tabáku děti a mladiství z Dětského domova Dagmar nebo děti a mladiství žijící v běžných rodinách. Dále jsme zkoumali, zdali z daného vzorku kouří více chlapci nebo dívky a ptali jsme se na další otázky související s kouřením.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis „Tobacco addiction of children and adolescents brought up in the institutional educational centres and children and adolescents living and brought up in a regular family environment”consists of three chapters. The first and the second chapter deals with a theory mentioning the information concerning upbringing and education, and explaining the differences between institutional and protective upbringing. The thesis describes the individual school facilities of institutional or protective education and upbringing, and deals with one of them further and in detail. We also focus on the risk factors of the emergence of tobacco addiction and present the history of tobacco. The consequences of tobacco addiction and the typology of its addicts is another point of the theoretical past. The last part of the theory is devoted to the treatment and prevention of tobacco. The third chapter covers a research study that took a place in the form of a semi-structured interview with children and adolescents at Dagmar children’s foster home as well as with children living in regular families. Regarding those sample informants, we examined whether the children and adolescents from Dagmar children’s foster home or the children and adolescents living in regular families were subject to tobacco dependence. We also investigated whether the boys or the girls out of that sample group smoked more. We questioned them on other smoking-related issues.
