Abstract:
Nominační volební proces pro prezidentské kandidáty v Americe má svoje kořeny sahající až k době založení země. Evoluce tohoto procesu je popsána v první části práce. Užitím historie primárního procesu v kontextu roku 2016 zahrnuje republikánské a demokratické kandidáty a jiné důležité události vztahující se k volebnímu systému. Poslední část analyzuje voliče a a jejich vliv na volby 2016.
Abstract:
The nominating process for presidential candidates in America has roots going back to the founding of the country. The evolution of this process is described in the first part of the thesis. Using the history of the primary process as context, the 2016 Republican and Democratic primaries are chronicled including the candidates and the important events.
