Ixodida as vectors of human diseases in the Czech republic

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit výskyt klíšťové encefalitidy a lymské boreliózy v České republice. Uvedená data byla získána od doc. MUDr. Petra Pazdiory, CSc., která se týkají výskytu těchto onemocnění se během let 2006 ? 2011. První kapitola bakalářské práce , popisuje onemocnění přenášené klíšťaty a jejich historii, zejména klíšťovou encefalitidu a lymskou boreliózu, pak následuje charakteristika druhu klíštěte obecného (Ixodes ricinus). Dále teoretická část obsahuje podrobnější popis a způsob přenosu viru KE, popis bakterie Borrelia a možnosti ochrany před klíšťovou encefalitidou a lymskou boreliózou. V kapitole Výsledky jsou podrobně zpracovány tabulky a grafy výskytu klíšťové encefalitidy a lymské boreliózy k jednotlivým rokům v České republice a jsou rozdělené dle pohlaví, okresů a věku.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the occurrence of the Tick-borne encefalitis (TE) and Lyme Borreliosis (LB) in the Czech Republic. These data obtained from MUDr. Petr Pazdiora, CSc. This bachelor thesis describes the occurrence of these sicknesses in years 2006 - 2011. The first part of the bachelor thesis is theoretical. There is history of the Tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme Borreliosis, characteristics of the species Ixodes ricinus as the vector these and others human sicknesses. The theoretical part also includes the detailed description and the way of the TE viruses and bacteria Borrelia transfer on patients, the description of the bacteria Borrelia and possibilities of protection against the Tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme Borreliosis. The detailed tables and graphs to each year are processed in the second, practical part, of the Bachelor thesis. The data of infected people in Czech Republic in these tables and graphs are divided by the gender and age of subjects, and by the township.
