Women's experience in infertility treatment by receiving donated oocytes.

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce má za cíl přiblížit zkušenost žen, které se rozhodly využít léčbu poruch plodnosti pomocí darovaných oocytů. Teoretická část bude věnována fenoménu mateřství bez přímé genetické vazby mezi matkou a dítětem a specifickým tématům, která se v souvislosti s tímto druhem léčby poruch plodnosti před ženou/párem otevírají. Cílem výzkumné části práce je zmapovat aspekty prožívání takovéto cesty za dítětem a hlouběji do nich nahlédnout. Data budou sbírána rozhovory se ženami, které tento druh léčby (úspěšně či neúspěšně) podstoupily a analyzována kvalitativní metodou interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy.

Abstract:

The master's thesis aims to bring closer the experience of women who have decided to use the treatment of fertility disorders using donated oocytes. The theoretical part will be devoted to the phenomenon of motherhood without a direct genetic link between mother and child and the specific topics that arise in connection with this type of treatment of fertility disorders in front of a woman/couple. The aim of the research part of the work is to map the aspects of experiencing such a journey for a child and to look deeper into them. The data will be collected from interviews with women who have undergone this type of treatment (successfully or unsuccessfully) and analyzed by a qualitative method of interpretive phenomenological analysis.
