Nicknames in Czech Scout Organization

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá přezdívkami členů největší české skautské organizace Junák - svaz skautů a skautek ČR získanými z informačního systému skautIS. V první části práce jsou krátce shrnuty poznatky bádání v této oblasti. V druhé, hlavní části práce je analyzován získaný materiál. Přezdívky jsou rozděleny do tří skupin na základě věku uživatele, každá přezdívka je následně zařazena do příslušného sémantického rámce podle původního významu apelativa, jež se stalo vlastním jménem osoby. Pozornost je věnována také slovotvorbě přezdívek. Závěr práce si klade za cíl získat přehled o repertoáru užívaných skautských přezdívek a prokázat, že se stále užívají stejné sémantické okruhy, které stanovil J. Svoboda.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with nicknames of members of the biggest scout organization in the Czech Republic - Junák - Association of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic, which were obtained from the information system skautIS. The first part of the thesis shortly discusses knowledge gained from the research. The second, main part analyses the obtained material. Nicknames are divided into three groups based on age. Each nickname is subsequently integrated to semantic scope according to original sense of the common noun which became a person’s proper name. The word-formation of nicknames was focused as well. The closing part aims to gain knowledge of repertory of scout nicknames in use and prove that there are still the same semantic scopes which were determined by J. Svoboda.
