Nosocomial infections at the Ostrava Faculty Hospital Maternity Ward

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá nozokomiálními nákazami na novorozeneckém oddělení Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava. Pro sběr dat byli vybráni novorozenci s porodní hmotností do 1500 gramů. V teoretické části je nejdříve popsána historie, rozdělení, obecný výskyt a epidemiologické metody sledování nozokomiálních nákaz. Nechybí ani hlavní původci a prevence. Dále jsou zde uvedeny nozokomiální nákazy u rodiček a novorozenců a klasifikace novorozence. V praktické části jsou data o nozokomiálních nákazách u novorozenců na daném pracovišti zpracována za rok 2011 a 2012. Novorozenci byli rozčleněni do tří váhových kategorií podle porodní hmotnosti a výskyty těchto nákaz u novorozenců byly vztaženy právě na porodní hmotnost. Na konci praktické části je přehled vykultivovaných mikroorganismů.

Abstract:

The subject of this diploma thesis is an occurrence of nosocomial infections at Maternity Hospital of University Hospital Ostrava. The new-borns with the birth weight to 1500 grams were being chosen for gathering data. The theoretical part consists of the history, classification, general occurrence and epidemiologic methods of monitoring of nosocomial infections. This part gives also general definition of main causes and prevention of these infections. Next chapter of the theoretical part deals with nosocomial infections of new-borns and their mothers and contains the classification of new-borns. The information about nosocomial infections of new-borns at the above mentioned department were being processed for the years 2011 and 2012 and they are gathered in the practical part of the thesis. The new-borns were classified into three weight categories according to their birth weight. The occurrence of the nosocomial infections of new-borns was being compared to the birth weight. At the end of the practical section there is an overview of cultured micro-organisms.
