FTIR analysis of pentoxifylline and verapamil hydrochloride in solid drug forms

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá studiem infračervených spekter pentoxifylinu a verapamil hydrochloridu v pevných lékových formách. Pro měření byla využita transmisní metoda infračervené spektroskopie s Fourierovou transformací. Vzorky byly zpracovávány KBr technikou. Byla proměřena spektra samotných účinných látek i excipientů. Na základě interpretace jednotlivých spekter byl zvolen nejvhodnější absorpční pás, na kterém se dále prováděla kvantitativní analýza pomocí kalibračních přímek a byl ověřen Lambert-Beerův zákon.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the study of infrared spectra of pentoxifylline and verapamil hydrochloride in solid drug forms. The transmission method of infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transform was used for the measurement. The samples were processed by KBr technique. The spectra of the active substances and excipients were measured and, based on their interpretation, the most appropriate absorption band was selected, on which quantitative analys was further performed using calibration lines and the Lambert-Beer Law was verified.
