The securitization of nuclear power in Germany

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje změně energetické politiky v Německu v oblasti jaderné energie. Problematika je zkoumána na základě sekuritizační teorie vypracované Kodaňskou školou. Cílem práce je analyzovat proces sekuritizace jaderné energetiky v Německu. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí. V první teoretické části je představena teorie sekuritizace a s ní související koncepty. Je zde také nastíněna problematika jaderné energie. Druhá část je pak věnována samotné analýze procesu sekuritizace, zaměřuje se na identifikaci klíčových aktérů sekuritizace a přijatých opatření důležitých pro celý proces a v neposlední řadě také na percepci těchto opatření publikem.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis examines energy transition in Germany in the area of nuclear energy. The securitization theoretical framework is used for the analysis of the issue. The aim of the paper is to analyse securitization process of nuclear power in Germany. The thesis consists of two parts. In the first theoretical part the securitization theory and its concepts are introduced as well as the issue of nuclear power. The second part is aimed at the analysis of the securitization process itself. It focuses on the identification of the key actors and the approved measures and laws, which were important for the process. Last but not least, the perception of the measures by the audience is also examined.
