Abstract:

Předmětem této práce, Průzkum a analýza potenciálu poskytování konzultantských služeb ve stavebnictví v rámci Skanska USA Building, je skutečná případová studie, zaměřená na současné výzvy, před kterými stojí společnost Skanska. Důvodem, proč se tato nadnárodní, renomovaná společnost zajímá o oblast, která zdánlivě nesouvisí s jejím současným portfoliem podnikání, je nejen snaha reflektovat měnící se ekonomické prostředí, ale také dychtivost po větších obratech a podílech na trhu. Sledování trendů v dnešní ekonomice je důležité zejména proto, že jsou to právě nové trendy, které dokážou ohrozit i velké firmy a uvrhnout je do propadliště dějin. Zdravá dychtivost pak automaticky vede ke hledání způsobu jak diverzifikovat portfolio společnosti tak, aby bylo možné snadněji reagovat na tyto trendy. V úvodní části této práce se tedy budeme zabývat tématem společnosti v ‚Nové Ekonomice‘ a průzkumem současných trendů, na které pak ve druhé části navážeme doporučením, kterým oblastem konzultačních služeb by se Skanska měla skutečně věnovat.

Abstract:

The title of this paper, “Investigate and Analyze best apt consultant services to be provided within Skanska USA Building” is a real business case focusing on real challenges that Skanska is currently facing. There are two reasons why a company with such a strong reputation and world-wide impact is interested in extending its current portfolio by this seemingly unrelated profession. The first reason is that the company feels that the economy is changing – that society is starting to look for something else and something more than what it has already experienced. It is important to keep up with these trends, otherwise even large companies can end up forgotten in the past. The second reason is that there is an obvious eagerness common in all modern companies. This includes the eagerness to expand product portfolios; as well as to diversify risks and increase revenue. In this paper we will primarily deal with the topic of the Company in the New Economy and key trends observed in the New Economy. Then, based on the inputs from the theoretical part, we will build the strategy for the recommendations of consulting services that Skanska USA Building should really focus on.
