Comparative study of the Mulligan technique in addition to the application of kinesio taping in overhead athletes with shoulder impingment.

Abstract:

The subacromial impingment syndrome is among the most common painful disorders of the shoulder. the symptoms are a consequence of a repeated and unnatural compression of the tissues whithin the subcromial space . In particular the supraspinatus tendon, the tendon of the biceps long head, the superior capsule and the subacromial bursa are compressed between the humeral head and the coracoacromial arch; this can occurr in athlets who mainly use this articulation, leading to the so called "overload", such as launch sports, like baseball or waterpolo. This syndrome can also affect workers who repeatedly raise their arms above their head, for example, painters.

Abstract:

La sindrome da impingement subacromiale ? tra i pi? comuni disturbi dolorosi della spalla. La sintomatologia ? dovuta alla compressione ripetuta e innaturale dei tessuti all'interno dello spazio subacromiale. In particolare il tendine del sovraspinato , il tendine del capo lungo del bicipite , la capsula superiore e la borsa subacromiale sono compressi tra la testa dell'omero e l'arco coracoacromiale, ci? pu? avvenire in sportivi che utilizzano maggiormente l'articolazione interessata andando incontro al cosiddetto "sovraccarico" come negli sport cosi detti di lancio,come il baseball o pallanuoto oppure pu? essere presente anche in lavoratori che si trovano a sollevare ripetutamente le braccia sopra la testa, come ad esempio un pittore.
