Integration of muslim minorities in comparative perspective

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá komparací procesu integrace muslimských menšin v České a Rakouské republice. Cílem práce je zhodnocení postavení muslimských komunit a procesu integrace jejich členů do společnosti v České a Rakouské republice. Práce obsahuje jednak teoretické vymezení integrace a integračních politik evropských států, dále pak popis jejich vývoje až do současné podoby. Druhá část práce je zaměřena na analýzu postavení muslimské obce v obou společnostech, vývoje a podoby současných integračních politik zemí a procesu integrace cizinců v Česku a Rakousku v letech 2010-2015 se zaměřením na muslimskou populaci. Poslední část pak pomocí komparace shrnuje nejdůležitější zjištění předchozích kapitol. V závěru jsou interpretovány výsledky analýzy a je porovnáno postavení muslimské obce v Česku a Rakousku a zdejší situace v oblasti integrace muslimů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with a comparison of the process of integration of Muslim minorities in the Czech Republic and the Republic of Austria. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the status of Muslim communities and the process of integration of their members into society in the Czech Republic and the Republic of Austria. The thesis contains both the theoretical definition of the integration and integration policies of European states, as well as the description of their development up to the present form. The second part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of the status of the Muslim community in both societies, the development and form of the current integration policies of the countries and the process of integration of foreigners in the Czech Republic and Austria in the years 2010-2015 with a focus on the Muslim population. The last part summarizes the most important findings of previous chapters. At the end, the results of the analysis are interpreted and the status of the Muslim community in the Czech Republic and Austria and the local Muslim integration situation are compared.
