The Spiritual Experience of Marihuana Users among Adolescents

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá spirituálními prožitky adolescentních uživatelů marihuany. Teoretická část se soustředí na odborné termíny jako jsou adolescence, biologický, poznávací, rozumový a citový vývoj, náboženství, spiritualita, spirituální prožitky a marihuana. Empirická část je věnována kvalitativnímu výzkumu, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, jaké konkrétní spirituální prožitky zažívají pod vlivem marihuany adolescentní vrcholoví fotbalisté. Pro tento výzkum bylo vybráno pět respondentů ve věku 21-28 let, kteří v rozhovorech vzpomínají na období svého dospívání. Sběr dat byl proveden kvalitativní metodou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Rozhovor se skládal ze šesti otevřených otázek, které měly zjistit, zda se u respondenta vyskytly spirituální prožitky, popřípadě jaké. Data byla zpracována metodou Tematické analýzy. Výsledky ukázaly, že spirituální prožitky zažívají pod vlivem marihuany především věřící lidé a lidé, kteří nemají religiozitu jasně vyhraněnou (tedy hledající se). Nejčastějším prožitkem, který respondenti zažívali byl smysl života.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the spiritual experiences of adolescent marijuana users. The theoretical part focuses on technical terms such as adolescence, biological, cognitive, intellectual and emotional development, religion, spirituality, spiritual experiences and marijuana. The empirical part is devoted to qualitative research, the aim of this reseatch was to find out what specific spiritual experiences adolescent elite soccer players experience under the influence of marijuana. For this research, five respondents aged 21- 28 were selected, who recall their teenage years in interviews. Data collection was carried out using the qualitative method of a semi-structured interview. The interview consisted of six open-ended questions, which were intended to find out whether the respondent have had any spiritual experiences, and if so, which ones. The data was proccesed using the method of thematic analysis. The results showed that spiritual experiences are experienced under the influence of marijuana mainly by religious people and people who do not have a clearly defined religiosity (i.e. those who seek it). The most common experience that the respondents experienced was the meaning of life.
