Alcoholism and nicotinism as the aspects of burnout syndrome of primary and high school teachers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá syndromem vyhoření u pedagogů a jejich závislostním chováním vedoucím k alkoholismu a nikotinismu. Teoretická část se soustřeďuje na uvedení do problematiky syndromu vyhoření u pomáhajících profesí se zaměřením na pedagogickou profesi. Dále zahrnuje poznatky z prevence a léčby syndromu vyhoření, alkoholismu a nikotinismu. V praktické části jsou výzkumem šetřeny vztahy mezi syndromem vyhoření u pedagogů základních a středních škol a jejich závislostmi na alkoholu a cigaretách. Hlavním cílem výzkumu je ověřit, zda pocity vyhoření vedou pedagogy k požívání těchto návykových látek. Anonymními standardizovanými dotazníky bylo také zjišťováno, která z oblastí syndromu vyhoření je k jejich požívání nejvíce vztažná. Výzkum se tak zaměřuje na zjištění příčin vedoucích pedagogy ke stresu s doprovodným závislostním chováním.

Abstract:

This master's thesis deals with the burnout syndrome of teachers and their behavior tending to addictions, which is causing alcoholism and nicotinism (/smoking addiction). The theoretical part focuses on introduction to the burnout syndrome issue of proffesions specializing in education. Further includes insights from prevention and treatment of the burnout syndrom, alcoholism and nicotinism. In the practical part are examined relations between the burnout syndrome of basic and high school teachers and the alcoholism and nicotinism. The main goal of the research should be to check if the burnout syndrome leads teachers to use these addictive substances. Using standardized, anonymouse questionnaires has been also researched which aspect of the burnout syndrome is the most powerful to cause the drug use. The research also focuses on detection the causes leading teachers to stres accompanying behaviour tending to addictions.
