The potential of brownfields and their link to the greenery system of cities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem brownfieldů, podvyužívaných ploch a současně i systémem zeleně ve městě Valašské Meziříčí. Ve městě bylo nalezeno 18 brownfieldů, respektive podvyužívaných ploch. Pro ně bylo navrženo doporučené budoucí využití, zahrnující například nové plochy zeleně, obytnou zástavbu či obnovu obory. Pro každou plochu zeleně ve městě byl stanoven její funkční typ. Na základě mapy funkčních typů byl popsán stávající systém zeleně. Bylo navrženo několik nových rozvojových os tohoto systému, spojujících dosud samostatně ležící plochy zeleně.Do areálu Křižanovy pily, jednoho ze zjištěných brownfieldů, byl umístěn návrh nového parku s alejí. Ta má za úkol propojit stávající plochy zeleně a stát se tak jednou z rozvojových os systému zeleně. Podstatnou část parku utváří porosty sukcesní vegetace. Kromě nich se zde nachází březový háj, rastr stromů s kavárnou a zvlněný pobytový trávník. Severní část areálu byla vyhrazena pro nové autobusové nádraží.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with both brownfield and the system of greenery topic in the area of Valašské Meziříčí town. About 18 brownfields/underused places were found in a town. Each place was given a recommendation for future usage, including for example new places with greenery, residental buildings or a deer-park recovery.There was specified the functional type for each area containing greenery. Current system of greenery is based on the map of functional types. Some new development axes of this system were designed to link currently separated areas of greenery.The idea of the new park including avenue was placed into the Křižan sawmill, which is on of the found brownfields. The task of the avenue is to connect current places of greenery together, which means it becomes one of the new development axes of the greenery system. The fundamental part of the park is succession vegetation. There is also a birch grove, a tree raster with a coffee house and a wavy lawn. North section of the area was set apart for new bus station.
