Presentation of Field-Specific Data in Textbooks Dealing with "History". A Comparative Study from a German-Czech Perspective

Abstract:

How are the field-specific data presented in the textbooks dealing with history? This master thesis deals with this question. The answer is searched in the analysis of the German and Czech textbook, where several aspects will be taken into consideration and compared. The subject matter of this study are not just the formal aspects such as content, glossary, pieces of advice to the work with textbooks, literature recommendation, text structure and others but also the presence and types of various pictures. Grammar aspects are an important part of this analysis. The text is therefore analyzed from the morphological, syntactical and lexicological point of view. The analysis focuses also on foreign words as well as on terms and its definition.

Abstract:

Wie werden die Fachinformationen in den Geschichtslehrbüchern präsentiert? Mit dieser Frage befasst sich die vorliegende Arbeit. Die Antwort auf diese Frage wird mit Hilfe von der Analyse eines deutschen und eines tschechischen Lehrbuches gesucht, wobei mehrere Aspekte in Betracht gezogen und verglichen werden. Den Untersuchungsgegenstand bilden nicht nur formale Merkmale des Buches, wie Inhaltsverzeichnis, Glossare, Hinweise zur Arbeit mit den Büchern, Literaturtipps, Gliederung des Textes u. Ä., sondern auch die Anwesenheit und Typen der Bilder. Ein wichtiger Bestandteil stellen die grammatischen Aspekte dar, bei denen der Text aus der Sicht der Morphologie, Syntax und Lexikologie untersucht wird. Die Analyse konzentriert sich ebenfalls auf die Fremdwörter sowie Termini und ihre Erklärung.
