Preparation and organization of competition in informatics

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na přípravu a organizaci informatické soutěže pro žáky osmých a devátých tříd základních škol a odpovídajících ročníků víceletých gymnázií. Smyslem práce je započít tradici organizace informatické soutěže na základních školách. Pozornost je zaměřena na organizační část soutěže, tedy na to, jak soutěž vzniká a co je pro vytvoření takové soutěže potřeba. Součástí práce je analýza současných informatických soutěží v České republice. V jednotlivých kapitolách je popsán průběh soutěže, která probíhá ve dvou ročnících, přičemž nultý ročník sloužil pro zjištění větších nedostatků a jejich napravení v dalších ročnících. Nultý ročník soutěže probíhal ve dvou soutěžních kolech pomocí aplikace Google Classroom, kde žáci odevzdávali své odpovědi. První ročník soutěže probíhá ve třech kolech. Zadání soutěže je pro žáky dostupné na webových stránkách soutěže, přičemž odpovědi odesílají na uvedený e-mail. Celá soutěž probíhá korespondenční formou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on preparation and organization of an informatics competition made for students in eighth/ninth grades of elementary schools and corresponding grades of grammar schools. The main purpose of this thesis is to make a tradition of preparing similar competitions on schools. One of the most important aspects to make a successful competition is to organize it correctly. This thesis is mostly focused on the organization of similar competition, such as how does it begin and what are the requirements to make it real. Part of this work is dedicated to the analysis of IT competitions in Czech Republic. There is also described the process of a competition, which has two phases. First phase is devoted to find any lack of knowledges needed for future studies. This phase has two rounds in which every student was using application called Google Classroom. Second phase has three rounds, assignments are put on the web site of the competition and students are supposed to send their results to an e-mail. The whole competition uses correspondence form of communication.
