Úkolem mé bakalářské práce je představit popis baziliška v knihách autorky současné fantasy literatury J. K. Rowlingové (Harry Potter a Tajemná komnata a Fantastická zvířata a kde je najít) a následně zachytit vývoj představ o tomto bájném tvorovi v antickém písemnictví a ve vybraných dílech středověké latinsky psané literatury. Abstract:
The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to present the description of the basilisk in the books of contemporary fantasy literature by J. K. Rowling (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and then to trace the development of the ideas about this mythical creature in ancient literature and in selected works of medieval Latin literature.
