Therapeutic hypotermia of newborns with asphyxial syndrome

Abstract:

Název bakalářské práce „Terapeutická hypotermie u novorozenců s asfyktickým syndromem“ přesně vystihuje problematiku, kterou se tato teoreticko-praktická práce zabývá. V teoretické části podávám obecné informace o rizicích vzniku perinatální asfyxie od gravidity až po porod, o asfyktickém syndromu u zralého novorozence s příznaky hypoxicko-ischemické encephalopatie. V současnosti se u asfyktických novorozenců využívá nové možnosti léčby - řízené hypotermie. Cílem hypotermie je podchlazením zabránit patologickým procesům vznikajícím v mozku donošeného novorozence po prodělané hypoxii. Léčebná hypotermie prokazatelně pozitivně ovlivňuje prognózu malých pacientů. V části praktické jsem metodou kvalitativního šetření objasňovala stanovené cíle pomocí výzkumných otázek, které vyplynuly z případových kazuistik novorozenců po prodělaném asfyktickém syndromu a následné léčbě řízenou hypotermií. Ověřovala jsem, zda sestry hodnotí patologické projevy v postnatální adaptaci asfyktických novorozenců, zda měří rektální tělesnou teplotu a provádí záznam údajů. Výstupem této části je vytvoření „Záznamu o novorozence indikované k řízené hypotermii – sesterská překladová zpráva“

Abstract:

The title of the bachelor thesis “Therapeutic hypothermia at newborns with asphyxial syndrome” exactly gives a truth picture of the problems which this theoretical-practical thesis deals with. In the theoretical part I give general information about risks of formation of perinatal asphyxia from gravidity until giving a birth, about syndrome at mature individual with signs of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Currently there is used a new possibility of cure at asphyxial newborns – controled hypothermia. The aim of hypohtermia is to prevent the pathological processes by hypothermia which arise in the brain of full term infant after suffering hypoxia. The curative hypothermia positively influences the prognosis of small patients. In the practical part I clarified determined targets by qualitative method by the help of explorative questions which arose from potential casuistic of newborns after suffering by asphyxial syndrome and its following cure by hypothermia. I also verified if nurses assess pathological displays in postnatal adaptation asphyxia newborns if they take a rectal temperature and carry records of data. The output of this part is to create “The record of newborns indicated to operated hypothermia – nurse transporting report”.
