Literary embodiments of childhood in authoritarian societies

Abstract:

This Master's Thesis, which is called 'Literary Embodiments of Childhood in Authorian Societies', deals with three German writers; A.Andersche and his short story, P.Hartling and his novel, as well as W.Schnurre and his novel.The topics discussed are the methods of raising children and their upbringing, in addition, the relationship between father and son during the Nazi regime. After careful analysis of the given texts we discover; the manners of upbringing of the young generation, what kind of relationship a father has with his son, as well as between a student and the principal, and what effects him. The characteristics of the hero in narratives are broken down and analyzed. These texts are then dissected and a camparison of upbrings as well as relations between the heroes is carried out.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce, jejíž název je " Literarische Darstellungen der Kindheit in autoritärer Gesellschaft" pojednává o povídce německého spisovatele A.Andersche , románu německého spisovatele P.Härtlinga a románu W.Schnurreho. Řešenou problematikou je výchova a výchovný styl, dále pak vztah mezi otcem a synem v období nacismu. Na základě analýzy textu je zjištěno, jakým způsobem a stylem je mladá generace vychovávána, jaký je vztah mezi otcem a synem, mezi žákem a ředitelem, co ho ovlivňuje. Jsou analyzovány vlastnosti hlavních hrdinů povídky. Je provedena analýza textu a srovnání výchovy a vztahu mezi hlavními hrdiny.
