The Work of Inka Bach

Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to present the life and work of contemporary German writer Inka Bach who emigrated with her parents to West Berlin in the 70th years. This experience influenced her later work. She writes poems, prose, radio plays and dramas. The topics she deals with on a long-term basis are right-wing extremism, xenophobia, racism and violence. This diploma thesis provides information not only about her literary works, but also about her political and educational activities. The essential part of this thesis is a literary analysis of Inka Bach´s first novel Glücksmarie which contains autobiographical elements.

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je představit život a dílo současné německé spisovatelky Inky Bachové, která se svými rodiči v 70. letech emigrovala do Západního Berlína. Tato zkušenost ovlivnila později i její tvorbu. Píše básně, prózu, poslechové hry pro rozhlas a divadelní hry. Témata, kterými se dlouhodobě zabývá, jsou pravicový extremismus, xenofobie, rasismus a násilí. Diplomová práce přináší informace nejen o její literární tvorbě, ale také o jejích aktivitách v politicko-vzdělávacích oblastech. Podstatnou část této práce tvoří literární analýza prvního románu Inky Bach Glücksmarie, který obsahuje autobiografické prvky.
