Late medieval and early modern tiles in Egerland

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou vrcholně středověkých a raně novověkých kachlů na Chebsku, které jsou uloženy v depozítáři Muzea Cheb. Důraz je kladen na morfologii nádobkových kachlů a komorových kachlů, jejich technologii a rozbor reliéfních motivů. Cílem práce je představení nástinu typologického vývoje středověkých a raně novověkých kachlů na Chebsku, který je zasazen do kontextu kamnářské produkce v Čechách a v přiléhajících oblastech Německa.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with analysis and evaluation of High Medieval and Early Modern tiles in the area of Cheb, which have been stored in the Museum depository of Cheb. The main goal is introduce the shape morphology from the vessel tiles to the Renaissance tiles. In this thesis is presented an outline of typological development tiles, which is set in the context of stove production in Bohemia and in adjacent areas of Germany. This thesis includes too the catalogue and the database of stove tiles.
