This thesis discusses about the form of slovak political discourse on poverty. In the beginning, the work identifies a poverty as social phenomenon, the work uses mainly social constructivism perspective in doing that. Magisterská diplomová práca pojednáva o podobe politického diskurzu o chudobe v Slovenskej republike. V úvode definuje chudobu ako sociálny jav, na chudobu nazerá z perspektívy sociálneho konštruktivizmu. Ďalej sa zaoberá témou diskurzu o chudobe a jeho vzťahom k sociálnej politike.
