Leoš Janáček: On an Overgrown Path. Comparation of sheet music and recordings of selected parts of the cycle

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá I. řadou klavírního cyklu Po zarostlém chodníčku Leoše Janáčka. Teoretická část pojednává o životě a klavírním díle tohoto autora. Praktická část se zaměřuje na rozdíly v notových materiálech revidované Vilémem Kurzem (vyd. Hudební matice Umělecké besedy) a Radoslavem Kvapilem (vyd. Supraphon). Následně se práce soustředí na problematiku interpretace a porovnávání nahrávek částí I. řady cyklu vybraných interpretů (Ilja Hurník, Josef Páleníček a Jan Bartoš).

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the first series of the piano cycle On the Overgrown Path by Leoš Janáček. The theoretical part deals with the life and piano work of this author. The practical part focuses on the differences in sheet music materials revised by Vilém Kurz (published by Hudební matice Umělecké besedy) and Radoslav Kvapil (published by Supraphon). Subsequently, the work focuses on the issue of interpretation and comparison of recordings of the first series of selected artists (Ilja Hurník, Josef Páleníček and Jan Bartoš).
