Analysis of the results of municipal elections in the town of Kopřivnice in the years 2014 to 2022

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá komunálními volbami v Kopřivnici, zejména analýzou výsledků těchto voleb a vybraných změn v letech 2018 a 2022 včetně hodnoty dosažených hlasů u jednotlivých kandidujících subjektů. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teorie se věnuje charakteristice města Kopřivnice, dále problematice komunálních voleb a obecních orgánů včetně tvorby koalic. Praktická část přibližuje zejména prostřednictvím tabulek různá data a úspěšnost jednotlivých politických subjektů spojených s volbami v letech 2018 a 2022 včetně jejich hlavních aktérů. Jako hlavní zdroj dat posoužil pro potřeby práce volební server Českého statistického úřadu. V rámci dílčích cílů nechybí analýza zabývající se stabilitou vytvořených koalic a průměrného věku kandidátů na kandidátní listině. Na konci práce jsou vybrané ukazatele krátce okomentovány.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on municipal elections in Kopřivnice, especially the analysis of the election results and the chosen changes in 2018 and 2022, including the value of achieved votes within individual candidate subjects. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of Kopřivnice but also the issues of municipal elections and municipal authorities, including coalition formation. In the practical part, varied data and the success of various political subjects connected with the elections in 2018 and 2022 as well as their leading candidates, are particularly depicted using tables and charts. The election server of the Czech Statistical Office is used as the primary source of data collection for this thesis. The aim of the work is to analyze the stability of formed coalitions and the average age of candidates on the candidate list. The selected indicators are shortly discussed in the final part of the thesis.
