Práce popisuje obecné principy určení míry entropie, detailněji se pak věnuje možnostem odhadu entropie v biologických sekvencích. V textu je prezentován nová aplikace pro kompresi proteinových sekvencí ProteinPress. This thesis describes principles of entropy rate estimation in general and focuses on methods of entropy estimation for biology sequences. New application for protein compression ProteinPress is presented. Basic principle of application is combination of statistical experts, which is improved by possibility of expert hierarchical linking and adapts it to protein sequences.
