Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá najnovšími webovými štandardmi a možnosťou ich využitia vo webových sídlach bankovníctva a finančného sektoru. V prvej kapitole autor definuje základné pojmy použité v práci a zároveň sa širšie venuje technológii WEB 2.0 a štandardom ako HTML, CSS prípadne AJAX a jQuery knižniciam použitými v JavaScripte.
