Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na sbírku povídek Krvavá komnata britské autorky Angely Carterové. V práci jsou analyzovány postavy monster z vybraných povídek Krvavé komnaty. Jmenovitě jsou to povídky Námluvy pana Lva, Tygrova nevěsta, Kocour v botách, Král duchů, Paní z domu lásky, Vlkodlak, Mezi vlky a Vlčice Alenka, ve kterých se objevují monstra a zvířata typická pro klasické pohádky.
