Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je řízení likvidity v malém a středním podniku, neboť zajištění stabilního cash-flow a likvidity je pro podnik podmínkou existence. Pokud by podnik svou likviditu neřídil, mohl by se dostat do platební neschopnosti, která by mohla vést až k úpadku podniku. Řízení likvidity je aktuálním tématem především v této době, kdy se vzhledem ke zpomalení ekonomiky potýká velká část podniků s poklesem tržeb a tím pádem ke snížení objemu inkasovaných prostředků. Velká část malých a středních podniků se zaměřuje především na obchod, ale vzhledem ke zhoršující se platební morálce se mohla řada z nich přesvědčit, že pouhý prodej nestačí – obchod je úspěšný až v okamžiku inkasa. Cílem této práce je upozornit na potřebu řídit likviditu v malých a středních podnicích a to především s důrazem na volbu vhodných nástrojů pro řízení likvidity v závislosti na rozdílných podmínkách a předmětu činnosti podniků. Zkoumán tedy bude předpoklad, že podniky s rozdílným předmětem činnosti by se měly při řízení likvidity zaměřit na odlišné nástroje, právě z důvodu specifik vyplývajících z odvětví jejich činnosti. Bude provedena analýza finančních výkazů společností s výrazně odlišným předmětem podnikání – především se zaměřením na položky oběžného majetku a zdroje jejich financování. A dále zde budou popsány způsoby řízení likvidity, které dané podniky používají.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis is liquidity management in a small or medium enterprise, with respect to the fact that ensuring of a stable cash-flow and liquidity is essential for the company - it is a prerequisite of its existence. If the company does not manage its liquidity, it may get insolvent, which may lead to bankruptcy of the company. Liquidity management is highly topical especially in current conditions of the slowing-down economy, when companies are largely facing decreased sales and therefore also lowered volume of collected-in cash. A big part of the small and medium enterprises are focused on business; however, many of them have learnt that it is not enough to sell the goods or a service, the business is only successful once money is actually coming in. The aim of the thesis is to point out the necessity to manage the liquidity in the small and medium enterprises, with a special focus to select suitable tools, depending on differing conditions and scope of business type. Therefore, there will be investigated an assumption that companies with differing scopes of business shall be focusing on different tools, while managing its liquidity, the reason being the specifics of their businesses. Analysis of the financial statements of companies with significantly different scope of business will be carried out, focused on the individual items of current assets and sources of their financing applied by those companies.
