Cenné papíry přispívají neodmyslitelně ke správnému fungování současné tržní ekonomiky. Postupem doby se vyvinuly různé typy cenných papírů a podle svého konkrétního účelu nacházejí stále větší uplatnění. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na tuto problematiku a má za cíl obecným způsobem charakterizovat jednotlivé druhy cenných papírů a popsat způsoby jejich účtování z hlediska obchodních společností.
