Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá životem a hudební cestou Muddyho Waterse, afro-amerického muzikanta, který tradiční černošské akustické blues obohatil o elektrifikovanou formu, díky které vzniklo moderní městské blues, a která se později odrážela v tvorbě populárních britských kapel. Práce se také zaměřuje na další osobnosti, které společně s Muddym Watersem stály za vznikem této nové formy blues, která v padesátých letech tvořila základ americké hudební scény.

Abstract:

This study deals with the life and musical journey of Muddy Waters-an African-American musician who enriched the traditional acoustic blues with an electrified form that lead to the modern city blues, and which was influential in the work of many popular British bands. This study also focuses on other important figures, who together with Muddy Waters, helped to develop this form of blues, which created the basis for American music in the 1950s.
